I love when my kids cook with me. Well, most of the time. Sometimes they make a mess and sometimes it takes three times longer to cook a meal than if I had just done it myself.
But the looks on their faces as they mix things together and place ingredients in patterns is worth it. This recipe is a perfect one to do with your kids because there isn’t a ton of messy ingredients and it’s still a fast recipe to the table even if the kids take too long
Plus, it’s pizza. So the kids are guaranteed to love it! They can put their own toppings on and make silly faces out of the pepperonis. Too fun!
French Bread Pizza
- 1 loaf French bread
- 1 jar/can pizza sauce
- 16 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
- Any pizza toppings you like-pepperoni, peppers, mushrooms, sausage, olives, etc.
- 2 tsp garlic powder *optional
Preheat oven to 425. Cut bread in half lengthwise and place cut side up on baking sheet. Spoon on pizza sauce. Add garlic powder if you want.
Add toppings and cheese. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove and slice into pieces. Serve.
