Stove Top Meatloaf RecipeWhen I choose a new recipe to try for dinner during the week two things are my top priority. How long it takes to cook and how many ingredients the recipe calls for. I just don’t have time to create an elaborate meal during the week. I’m exhausted from my day for one and I don’t like spending my time in the kitchen when I’d rather be spending my time with my kids.

This Stove Top meatloaf recipe is certainly a winner in the ingredient category coming in with a whopping FOUR ingredients. I mean, c’mon! Four? Again, I’m not going for 5-star meals here, I’m going for efficiency, so of course I’m going to give this one a try.

It turned out pretty damn good and even the kids were fans. Of course I had to cover it in ketchup, but still.

Stove Top Meatloaf

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 45 minutes
Total Time 50 minutes


  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 box Stove Top stuffing mix
  • 1 cup water


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Mix all ingredients together, smoosh in to a loaf pan, and bake for 45 minutes.

Recipe Notes

You may want to add one tsp of salt depending on your preference. I thought it was fine, my husband would have preferred more salt.
